Jubilate Deo
1 |
All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice. Him serve with fear, His praise forth tell; come ye before Him and rejoice. |
2 |
The Lord, ye know, is God indeed; without our aid He did us make; we are His folk, He doth us feed, and for His sheep He doth us take. |
3 |
O enter then His gates with praise; approach with joy His courts unto; praise, laud, and bless His Name always, for it is seemly so to do. |
4 |
For why? the Lord our God is good; His mercy is for ever sure; His truth at all times firmly stood, and shall from age to age endure. |
5 |
To Father, Son and Holy Ghost, the God Whom Heaven and earth adore, from men and from the angel host be praise and glory evermore. |

Tune | Old 100th melody from Pseaumes octante trois de David, 1551, alt.; harm. after Louis Bourgeois (1510?-1561?); desc. Alan Gray (1855-1935) |
Be joyful in the Lord, all ye lands; *
serve the Lord with gladness and come before his presence with a song.
Be ye sure that the Lord he is God; it is he that hath made us and not we ourselves; *
we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
O go your way into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; *
be thankful unto him and speak good of his Name.
For the Lord is gracious; his mercy is everlasting; *
and his truth endureth from generation to generation.
Be joyful in the Lord, all you lands; *
serve the Lord with gladness and come before his presence with a song.
Know this: The Lord himself is God; *
he himself has made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise; *
give thanks to him and call upon his Name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; *
and his faithfulness endures from age to age.
