Easter Day.

Almighty God, Who by Thine only Son hast vanquished death and hell, through Him hast won for us Thy people and to us hast giv’n victory o’er death, and entrance into heav’n! Thy grace alone our trembling hearts inspires to glow with pure and heavenward bent desires; prevent us, Lord, that we all ill reject, and bring our good desires to good effect. Almighty God, to us this help afford through Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord! Who with Thee and the Paraclete most pure, One Triune God, shall evermore endure.

Almighty God, who, through thine only-begotten Son Jesus Christ, hast overcome death, and opened unto us the gate of everlasting life; we humbly beseech thee, that, as by thy special grace preventing us, thou dost put into our minds good desires, so by thy continual help we may bring the same to good effect; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
