Tuesday in Easter Week.
1 |
God of creation and of grace, how wondrous is Thy might! Thy love in all Thy works we trace, Thy works, by faith or sight. |
2 |
Full many a small and simple seed grows up a stately tree, to bear abundant fruit indeed on its broad branches free. |
3 |
The earth Thy sovereign will obeys, and vegetation pours continual tribute to Thy praise from her obedient stores. |
4 |
Lord, fructify the holy seed once planted in our hearts; continual help our spirits need, the help Thy grace imparts. |
5 |
Make us, dear Lord, t’ward Thee to spring in love, and faith, and grace, ‘til Thou Thy risen saints shalt bring with us to see Thy face. |

Tune | St. Peter Alexander Robert Reinagle (1799-1877) |
Almighty God, who through thy only begotten Son Jesus Christ hast overcome death, and opened unto us the gate of everlasting life; we humbly beseech thee, that, as by thy special grace preventing us, thou dost put into our minds good desires, so by thy continual help we may bring the same to good effect; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
