The fifth Sunday after Easter.
1 |
Author of good, eternal Lord! To seeking souls Thou dost accord fruition of Thy sacred word in faith, and hope, and love. |
2 |
Hear Thou our humble, deep desire, and with Thy grace our souls inspire to burn with sacred living fire of faith, and hope, and love. |
3 |
Let holy thoughts our spirits sway, guiding our nature to obey, that before Thee we walk alway in faith, and hope, and love. |
4 |
Our stubborn wills in mercy guide; in meek obedience quell our pride; so may we close to Thee abide in faith, and hope, and love. |
5 |
Through Jesus Christ, our Light of Light, our Savior, our Exemplar bright: in Him, aye hold we fast the right in faith, and hope, and love. |
