Collect after the Offertory. (III)
1 |
Almighty God, we pray Thee grant to us who now have heard: Thy Spirit may in us implant grace to fulfil Thy word. |
2 |
Our outward ears have caught the sound of tidings great and glad; grant in our hears Thy word be found fruition to have had: |
3 |
Fruition to eternal life, through word, and deed, and thought, so to Thy name may praise be rife, honor and glory brought. |
4 |
O deign in us this fruit to bring, by hearing of Thy word, (who of ourseleves think no good thing) through Jesus Christ our Lord. |

Grant, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that the words, which we have heard this day with our outward ears, may through thy grace be so grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honor and praise of thy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
