Whit-Sunday.
| 1 | Great God, Who didst, as on this day, in tongues of fire appear, with bright and visible array Thy faithful saints to cheer: |
| 2 | Grant to Thy servants evermore a judgment clear and right: on them Thy Holy Spirit pour, the radiance of Thy light. |
| 3 | That guided, taught, and led by Thee, and listening to Thy voice, Thy people comforted may be, and in Thy love rejoice. |
| 4 | To Him, whose merit hath obtained for us this heavenly gift, Who from eternity hath reigned, to Him our hearts we lift. |
| 5 | We praise the Father and the Son, the Spirit’s unity, Mysterious, Holy, Three in One, from all eternity. |

God, who as at this time didst teach the hearts of thy faithful people, by the sending to them the light of thy Holy Spirit; grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort; through the merits of Christ Jesus our Savior, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the same Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
