The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

O Lord, Who in Thy wondrous love didst send Thine Angel from above, bright from the glory of Thy face, a rainbow message of heavenly grace. Thou Who didst thus make known to man Thy will in our salvation’s plan, Thy Son incarnate teach to own, by Angel’s message from Thy high throne. Be present by Thy love to fill our hearts with knowledge of Thy will, that as that message we believe, so in our hearts we our Lord receive. So by the passion of His love, His blessed cross our hearts may move to wage till death the sacred strife, to win, through Jesus, eternal life.

1 O Lord, Who in Thy wondrous love
didst send Thine Angel from above,
bright from the glory of Thy face,
a rainbow message of heavenly grace.
Thou Who didst thus make known to man
Thy will in our salvation’s plan,
Thy Son incarnate teach to own,
by Angel’s message from Thy high throne.
2 Be present by Thy love to fill
our hearts with knowledge of Thy will,
that as that message we believe,
so in our hearts we our Lord receive.
So by the passion of His love,
His blessed cross our hearts may move
to wage till death the sacred strife,
to win, through Jesus, eternal life.

The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

We beseech thee, O Lord, pour thy grace into our hearts; that, as we have known the Incarnation of thy Son Jesus Christ by the message of an angel, so by his cross and passion we may be brought unto the glory of his resurrection; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
