The fifth Sunday after Trinity.
1 |
The nations of the world, O Lord, lie in Thy hand: to glory raised, to ruin hurled at Thy command. O Lord, we Thee beseech to bid all discord cease; by Thy redeeming love to teach the ways of peace. |
2 |
Order the world’s wide choice, so governed by Thy will, that it obey the heavenly voice: “Peace, be thou still.” So shall Thy Church with joy a quiet harvest reap, and happy in her glad employ her service keep. |
3 |
To God the Father, Son, and Spirit, glory be, as ‘twas, and is, and e’er shall be eternally: in faith, and peace, and love, a threefold binding cord, holding Thy Church below, above, in Christ, her Lord! |
