The twelfth Sunday after Trinity.

O God, we bless Thy name, from age to age the same, Unchanging Love! Oft Thou answ’rest our cry, and giv'st to contrite sigh blessings from heaven high, Thy throne above. O God, we pray Thee hear: forgive what causeth fear, hearts struck with dread! We merit but Thy frown; yet pour Thy mercy down, Name above all renown, as daily bread! Our strength for every task we unworthily ask: treasures of meed! In Thy Name draw we near, Jesus, who died to clear every sin, every tear, meeting our need. We plead His works alone, His grace before the throne: O stay the rod! Let our prayers mount on high as incense now brought nigh: help us, O Lord, we sigh, Thou Lamb of God!

1 O God, we bless Thy name,

The twelfth Sunday after Trinity.

Almighty and everlasting God, who art always more ready to hear than we to pray, and art wont to give more than either we desire, or deserve; pour down upon us the abundance of thy mercy; forgiving us those things whereof our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask, but through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord. Amen.
