The thirteenth Sunday after Trinity.
1 |
Almighty God, each perfect gift from Thee alone descends; our hearts we only may uplift by grace Thy Spirit lends. |
2 |
To Thee Thy people only live and labor in Thy love when Thou dost quickening spirit give, in them to live and move. |
3 |
O unto us, Thy servants, grant such blessings of Thy grace; the seed of life so in us plant, that we its growth may trace: |
4 |
In works of faithful service done, in diligence of love, ‘til through the merits of Thy Son we reach our home above. |
5 |
We praise the Father and the Son, the Spirit’s unity, Myster-- ious, Holy, Three in One, from all eternity. |

Almighty and merciful God, of whose only gift it cometh that thy faithful people do unto thee true and laudable service; grant, we beseech thee, that we may so faithfully serve thee in this life, that we fail not finally to attain thy heavenly promises; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
