The twenty-first Sunday after Trinity.

Most merciful and gracious Lord, Who hast abundant mercy stored for those who in Thy steadfast fear for pardon and for peace draw near: for these we raise our suppliant cry: be to Thy faithful people nigh! Cleanse us from every stain of sin; make us, Thy people, pure within; wash us in the eternal fount springing from awful Calvary’s mount: for these we raise our suppliant cry: be to Thy faithful people nigh! Into our hearts Thy Spirit bring, that life’s eternal fount may spring, our concious souls Thy presence find, and serve Thee with a quiet mind: through the Belov’d we raise our cry: be to Thy suppliant people nigh!

1 Most merciful and gracious Lord,
Who hast abundant mercy stored
for those who in Thy steadfast fear
for pardon and for peace draw near:
for these we raise our suppliant cry:
be to Thy faithful people nigh!
2 Cleanse us from every stain of sin;
make us, Thy people, pure within;
wash us in the eternal fount
springing from awful Calvary’s mount:
for these we raise our suppliant cry:
be to Thy faithful people nigh!
3 Into our hearts Thy Spirit bring,
that life’s eternal fount may spring,
our concious souls Thy presence find,
and serve Thee with a quiet mind:
through the Belov’d we raise our cry:
be to Thy suppliant people nigh!

The twenty-first Sunday after Trinity.

Grant, we beseech thee, merciful Lord, to thy faithful people pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all their sins, and serve thee with a quiet mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
