The Third Collect, for Grace.

Lord Who art enthroned on high, Abba! Father! Hear our cry: Thou, Who know’st our every thought, Thou Who hast in safety brought us, through all the bygone night, to the dawning of the light: Be it now Thy gracious will, with Thy power to shield us still, with Thy care this day to keep from ill all Thy feeble sheep: though temptations may surround, grant, in us, no sin be found: That our ways may ever be ordered, done, and found in Thee. Walking ever in Thy sight, may we always choose the right, governed, guided by Thy word, through Christ, Thy dear Son, our Lord.

1 Lord Who art enthroned on high,
Abba! Father! Hear our cry:
Thou, Who know’st our every thought,
Thou Who hast in safety brought
us, through all the bygone night,
to the dawning of the light:
2 Be it now Thy gracious will,
with Thy power to shield us still,
with Thy care this day to keep
from ill all Thy feeble sheep:
though temptations may surround,
grant, in us, no sin be found:
3 That our ways may ever be
ordered, done, and found in Thee.
Walking ever in Thy sight,
may we always choose the right,
governed, guided by Thy word,
through Christ, Thy dear Son, our Lord.

The Third Collect, for Grace.

Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; defend us in the same with thy mighty power; and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings may be ordered by thy governance, to do always that is righteous in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
